I know this is the post my mama has been anxiously awaiting, so here goes!
This is Emma and her BFF, Olivia, prior to their performance. How freakin' cute are they?
Miss Emma sure does know how to pose for the camera. Hmm. Wonder who taught her how to do that. Must've been Papa.
Emma loved wearing makeup!
She will never be too old to have some fun! Definitely a prima ballerina in the making, dont'ya think?
And then the show began. The girls danced to "Suzy Snowflake," a popular Rosemary Clooney tune (yup, George's auntie) from 1951. If you feel like waxing nostalgic (ha ha, I love that phrase and finally found an opportunity to use it), you can hear Rosemary Clooney's version here.
You can easily spot Emma. She is the tall snowflake in the middle.
"Here comes Suzy Snowflake
Dressed in a snow-white gown
Tap, tap, tappin' at your windowpane
To tell you she's in town.
Here comes Suzy Snowflake
Soon you will hear her say
'Come out everyone and play with me,
I haven't long to stay.'"
Here you go, mama!
Afterwards, Emma posed for a birthday photo with Papa.
And then they made silly faces! Apparently Rick will never be too old to have some fun, either.
Our sweet friends, Paloma and Pedro, brought their kids to Emma's performance. Pedrito gave Emma a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Ahh...young love! I think Brittany needs to be nervous. I predict many such moments for Miss Emma. :)
Here comes Suzy Snowflake...
