Red and Green Should NOT Be Seen!

That was the theme for BTC11 on SCS~a Christmas card using non-traditional colors. What fun! I love this new Tiddly Inks stamp by Stamping Bella. It's called Confused Christmas Dog. Of course he's confused~he's in pink and pale green! LOL (Supplies.)
Thanks for a fun challenge Pinky!

My Two Princesses

Tiffany is four months old already, and is up to a whopping six pounds. She is the epitome of a lap dog, with just the right amount of spunk~which makes her perfect for me. Emma adores her almost as much as I do!
And here's my baby with her first top knot! My brother and SIL sent me this pink velvet bow with a crystal tiara on it. Too cute, and quite appropriate for my little princess!

Of the Earth

Isn't that a cool title for this stamp set by SU? Every once in awhile, it's so nice to use an image that I don't have to color. Coloring is hard on this old girl's hand! I was actually drawn to this set because of the quote~guess I'll always be a writer and literary girl at heart.

I used the same SU Designer Paper pack for all three cards. I stamped the images with SU Chocolate Chip Craft Ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.
Have a great week!

Cutie Patootie!

As usual, Jamie provided another fabulous sketch for BSC83 on SCS. I flipped it on its side to accommodate this image. Isn't this stamp the cutest? I love the new line of Lollipop stamps from Stamping Bella! This is Gracie Lollipop. (Supplies.)

Bella's Favorite Stamper for November

Congrats, Emily (stampinem on SCS)! In honor of Emily being chosen as this month's Bella's Favorite Stamper, the challenge was to CASE on of her cards. I chose this one. To case a card means to copy it, changing at least two least things. I kept the sketch, the ribbon treatments, and the striped DP. I changed the image, the colors, and the sentiment. (Supplies.)

What a fun challenge!

Somebunny Loves You...

Get this: Emma is now old enough to play at my craft table with me! Can you even imagine how excited I am? I gave her some fun stamps (a snowman, some penguins, etc.) and let her go to town. She loves it! Her attention span lasts for about one card. Here's one I made with her. This is Presley Lollipop by Stamping Bella. The card is simple and plain, for a little girl. Emma loves the bunny slippers! (Supplies.)

Skating Season Has Arrived...

... and I couldn't be happier! I am a figure skating nut. Okay, I am a nut in general~but a nut that loves all things figure skating! I cannot wait until Emma turns 3~I am soooo signing her up for skating lessons. How fun will it be for us to go skating together every day? Yup, every day!

Okay, on to my card. Last week's Bellariffic Friday challenge was to make a holiday or winter card. Since the skating season has begun, I couldn't resist using Glideabella, my first and favorite Bella stamp. Thanks for a fun challenge, Em!

Now, I can't wait to hear the sound of my blades on the ice. Life is good indeed!

I'll Be There For You...

Welcome to Stamping Bella's Show & Tell Challenge for November!

"So no one told you life was going to be this way.
Your job's a joke, you're broke, your love life's DOA.
It's like your always stuck in second gear,
Well, it hasn't been your day, your week, your month, or even your year.
But, I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour.
I'll be there for you, like I've been there before.
I'll be there for you, cause you're there for me, too."
(Copyrighted by the Rembrandts.)

Sound familiar? It's the theme song from Friends! On the simplest level, Friends was a sitcom (one of the most successful sitcoms in television history, btw) about a group of six people who were there for each other. Despite their shortcomings, failures, and sometimes hurtful words and actions, these six friends~Monica, Chandler, Rachel, Joey, Phoebe, and Ross~forgave and were were truly thankful for one another.

Here in the U.S., November means Thanksgiving. (I can already smell the roast turkey and pumpkin pie!) Our Canadian sisters celebrated their Thanksgiving holiday last month. Whether you celebrate a formal Thanksgiving or not, this month's challenge is to honor a friend or family member, someone for whom you are truly thankful.

I made this card for my mom. I know that she knows that I love her. I also know that I don't tell her that I love her often enough. Nor do I let her know how much I appreciate and treasure her. So here's to you, Mom!
I used Stamping Bella's "10 Things I Love ABout You." This is such a versatile stamp~it'll be great in scrapbooks, too! Now I just need to hope that my mom can read my chicken-scratched list. (No, don't strain your eyes~I wrote it after I took the photo.) (Supplies.)

You can participate in this challenge here. A winner will be randomly drawn from among the participants and will win a $15 gift voucher to Stamping Bella! So come join the fun!

And Mom, remember,
"I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour.
I'll be there for you, like I've been there before.
I'll be there for you, cause you're there for me, too."

I love you, Mom!

From the Mouths of Babes...

Emma is being potty-trained. Brittany bought her a special Disney Princess potty yesterday that makes music. She's hoping this will entice Emma to use it!

As Emma sat on her little pink throne tonight, she told me this story:
"Giffy, once upon a time there was Princess potty at Target. It was really pink and pretty. It singed Princess songs. But then it got stinky."

Life is good!

Happy Halloween!

Emma and her mommy made a kitty pumpkin and a chicken pumpkin, Emma's choices!
Keaton carved a Pumpkin Pi. Yes, he's a math major. I thought it was quite clever!
My male Shih Tzus, Indy and Wylie, would never let me put costumes on them. Tiffany, however, doesn't know any better yet~so I dressed her as a little ladybug!
Emma was a pink poodle named Fifi!

Giffy and Papa gave Emma a special treat bag~a kokeshi doll for her collection (thanks, Christy!) and a boatload of candy!
