Hi! I'm Vicki Burns. I am a Christian and have been married to my high school sweetheart, Rick, for 26 years! We have three grown children (Brittany~25, Brennan~21, and Keaton~19), a son in Jesus' arms (Kyle), and a beautiful granddaughter (Emma~2 years).
I am a former 3rd grade teacher turned author. I write children's books as well as Bible study curriculum. I run the non-profit ministry BibleShareware.org, Inc. (www.bibleshareware.org) which offers free Bible study curriculum to individuals, groups, and churches. I also have the privilege of being my grand-daughter's nanny while my daughter works! It's definitely the best job EVER!
Thanks for visiting!
"O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you..." Psalm 63:1
May you delight in Him today!
"Amani Children's Home is dedicated to the protection of Tanzania's most vulnerable population: street-children and AIDS orphans. Since its founding by local Tanzanians in 2001, Amani Children's Home has rescued over 290 children from the perils of life on the streets, where children face a high risk of HIV transmission and malnutrition. We welcome donations from all who want to help us give these precious children a haven from neglect and abuse." (Quoted from www.amanikids.org)

Sorry for the blurry photo! I'd retake it, but the card has already been sent. Not too sure about the skin color. It's Copic's Orientale, but it looks a bit too dark. Hmm... (See my supply list here.)
I don't know if I've ever told you this, but some of the kokeshi dolls will get darker in the face as they age. So maybe your Ketto's skin color isn't as far off as you think it is :) As always, I love the purple! I played around with SU's plum colors today for my mom's birthday card, I'll be posting it on my blog for the hop coming up.
I love your choice of purple. You are always able to make the shimmer look awesome, mine always looks like a glittery mess. Just started my blog earlier this month after much encouragement from my first evah Bella sistah. So I really have Sparkle to thank too for introducing us. Thanks Sparks!

She's darling! At least she doesn't look sun-burnt, lol. I tend to go orangey when I try to make people darker. I lovey the purple!
