An Anniversary Surprise!

My dear SIL and brother, Kristin and Dave, surprised us with a sweet anniversary gift! (Our 25th is on August 6th.) They sent a beautiful figurine, an accordion scrapbook in which we can place photos from our wedding and anniversaries (or whatever), and a pretty card. Is this not the sweetest gesture? Thanks, Kristin and Dave! We love you guys!

Today's color challenge (BCC39 on SCS) was hard for me. I just couldn't imagine what to do. I'm not that happy with the result, but I had fun making it~and isn't that the point?

Dot Heaven!

My dear friend, Hope, sent me an early birthday gift. She stocked me up on some luscious Bella's Dots by Stamping Bella. The colors are fabulous! She made this card for me, too. Her cards are all stunning! She is incredible! Check out her blog at www.myideaofrecess.blogspot

Thanks, dear friend!

Passion for Penguins!

When I taught elementary school, I loved to read the Tacky books by Helen Lester. They are the most adorable, hilarious stories about a penguin named Tacky. Each year, I would teach a unit on penguins. It was so much fun! So now I have a fond affection for the penguin line by Memory Box. I just added this one to my collection. How cute is she? It's hard to read the sentiment, but it says "You're tutu much." I chalked the background with two shades of yellow.

Stamps: Ballet Penguin by Memory Box, sentiment by Memory Box
Paper: DCWV Textured Summer Cardstock, CTMH Baby Pink, K&Company Berry Sweet
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid, Copics, Copic Spica

Crazy Sox Fan

If you know me at all, you know that I am a HUGE Red Sox fan! My dear SIL, Lori, saw this new release by Hanna Stamps. Not only did she get it for me, but she made me a card, complete with red hair! Now if only I looked this good...

Lori's cards and scrapbook pages are amazing! Check out her work at http://scrapinglori.blogspot.com

Thanks, Lori!

A Play Day in Boston

Boston Common, located in downtown Boston,  is the first public park in the country. It is the home to Frog Pond. In the summer, this shallow man-made pond in a water playground for kids. In the winter, it freezes and becomes a picturesque outdoor skating rink.

Yesterday, we took Emma there to play. Needless to say, she loved it!

A block or two away from Boston Common is Cheers~the pub which inspired the television series by the same name. The flag and entrance were shown in every episode of the show.

Emma had a great time just being silly!

Still being stilly at home. What a great day~and NO headache Yippee!

I Want to be a Goat...or a Fish!

We took Emma to Davis' Farmland again. She LOVES it there! She had her usual fun feeding the animals.

Then she wanted to climb into the goat pen!

Finally, she enjoyed the Splash and Play park. What a fun day!

Emma LOVEYS her Papa!

As soon as she hears his car in the driveway, she points to the door and says, "Papa!" or "Granpapa!"

Dancing Emma and Elmo

Just in case you didn't already know, Emma LOVES Elmo! In fact, Elmo was her 2nd word (Mama was the first). Here she is, dancing with her beloved Elmo!

Happy Birthday, Wylie!

Okay...so I totally throw little celebrations for my dogs' birthdays! Today is Wylie's 3rd.

Little Fishy Emma

Emma LOVES to play in the bathtub! Of course, her favorite thing to do is splash her Mama.

Emma Meets Elmo!

Emma loves to visit a local farm, where there is a petting zoo and a water park. On Saturday, Elmo was there! Emma pointed to him and said, "Elmo!" then made the signs for "more" and "please." Some toddlers cried, but not Emma. She went right up to him and kissed him!
